Screen Printing Mechanics is a workshop designed to take you through every step of the screen printing process.
Using your own artwork (single color artwork only), you'll learn about exposing and making screens using a light powered exposure unit, the difference between screen mesh counts, colors and ink, various print terminology, and tips for an at-home setup.
You may bring your own items to print on (subject to approval) or choose from our selection of pre-approved garments and paper to purchase. (Maximum of 30 items per person)
We will have aprons available, but please wear something you don't mind getting inky!
This workshop is limited to 4 people allowing us to provide ample opportunity to assist and guide you throughout the session.
This workshop is for beginners or those with a little experience screen printing.
If you do not have the resources to create a design or need assistance with this - we offer design services at a rate of $40/hr and typically work within a 0.5 - 2 hour timeframe on most simple concepts.
Please note, all artwork will need to be approved a minimum of 3 days prior to the workshop date to make sure the files are acceptable for the process. You may provide scanned in drawings and illustrations for designs as well.
